The Hijab; Beyond a head cover!
Hello everyone! Assalamu alaikum It’s been a while since i have written here, i believe there’s absolutely no one here though. I just write because i want to get it off my mind and reflect on it as i read. So the hijab! Hijab, hijab, hijab… we all know it’s a muslimah garment. We all know it’s a fabric we use to cover our bodies and hair, right? But what is really hijab? Hijab in arabic means a barrier. Now think of it. When we say barrier, barrier from what? That’s where i will like to say the hijab is beyond just a cover. It’s a protective shield, more like an armor. Completely far from being a garment of adornment or fashion! Today’s hijab is just a scarf of beauty. I mean we all look at the peng ones when we want to buy… and erm, we are going against the real hijab.
